We are a full line classic hobby shop. We carry all kinds of radio control cars,trucks, buggies, airplanes, helicopters, multirotor, boats and more. A great assortment of models both plastic and wood. Full accessories for building and finishing your model. Tools, paint, balsa, bass, spruce, mahogany, brass and aluminum. Model rockets, pinewood derby, a selection of model train items, kites, hardware and experience. We have been in business since 1971! Much too much to mention everything. History Established in 1971.  George W Brown Jr (the original Brownie deceased 2018) has been building and flying model airplanes for over 80 years and it was always his dream to have a hobby shop. He and my mom decided in 1971 to realize the dream. They gathered up some money that they had been saving. About $1000.00 if I remember correctly and took a ride to the Felix Bass Model distributing warehouse in New Jersey. With the family station wagon they filled it to the breaking point. Found a small building in Port Richmond, Staten Island New York and started the family business. The rest is as they say history. We are going on 50 years of being in business. I’m still operating as a mom and pop shop to this day. It’s important to me to have that feel. (Even though we lost mom in 2014, and dad in 2018) We like the one on one interaction with our customers. We haven’t embraced the chase for the all mighty dollar by selling everywhere we can. I will occasionally put items on the internet to move old stock, but for the most part we are happy to see the smiling faces.
